Another small adventure done. Steve and I went on a little beach-combing road trip. Our objective was to check out a beach a friend had told me about on the upper Texas coast.

While it took hours to get there and the tide was high, we did manage to find enough beach to walk and found some small treasures.

Once we were done we were presented with a glorious Texas sunset

The weather was just too perfect not to. We went further down the beach this time than last time. Unfortunately we didn’t find near as many fossils. We did find a few sea beans and sea hearts, lots of well tumbled seaglass (INCLUDING PURPLES!), a bit of driftwood, ironstone, old bottles and still more large intact sea shells.

I found a nice piece of fossilized fish bone as well as a few pieces of turtle shell. We met a nice couple who were also taking advantage of the lovely weather. We talked for a while and now we have beach buddies. LOL

I love fossils so I mounted this gem up in a little display box.
